Das ZSI trägt durch innovativen Einsatz von Forschung, Bildung, Beratung und Koordination von Netzwerken aktiv dazu bei, bestehende Lücken zwischen Bedürfnissen und Potenzialen der modernen Wissens- und Informationsgesellschaft zu schließen. Die interdisziplinäre und internationale Expertise des ZSI umfasst insbesondere innovative Arbeitsmarktpolitik, Governance und regionale Partnerschaften, Migrationsforschung, technologie-unterstütztes Lernen und andere IKT- Anwendungen, Forschungs-, Technologie- und Innovationspolitik.
English Summary
The ZSI applies socio-scientific research, education, advisory and networking services to reduce the gap between social needs and potentials of the knowledge based inf ormation society. By connecting its scientific basis with practical applications the ZSI provides an interf ace across scientific disciplines and sectors (trans-disciplinarity). Work in transdisciplinary projects is geared towards policies concerning research, technological and social development, innovation processes in the application fields of labour market, governance and regional partnerships, migration, technology-enhanced learning and other ICT applications.
