Kurze Organisationsbeschreibung: Das Institut für Wirtschaftsmathematik betreibt angewandte Forschung über quantitative Methoden und deren Anwendung in der Ökonomie. Die Hauptfelder seiner Aktivitäten sind in folgende Forschungsgruppen gegliedert: - Finanz- und Versicherungsmathematik, - Ökonometrie und Systemtheorie, - Ökonomie, - Operations Research und Kontrollsysteme. Das Institut engagiert sich sowohl im Bereich der Grundlagenforschung als auch in der Durchführung von praxisrelevanten Projekten. English: The Institute conducts research on quantitative methods and their applications in economics. Its main activities are organized in four research groups: - Financial and Actuarial Mathematics, - Econometrics and Systems Theory, - Economics, - Operations Research and Control Systems. The Institute engages in fundamental research as well as in projects relevant for practical applications.
