Austro-European Security Research Innovation Days incl. 8. KIRAS-Fachtagung
The Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit) invited international experts and specialists to participate in the Austro-European Security Research Innovation Days (AEIOY), which included this year’s KIRAS Symposium formerly held in November. Due to those changes, the number of participants as well as the duration of the event was extended.
In addition to the formerly invited participants of the KIRAS Symposium also representatives of the European Commission and AS/MS PC-delegations were invited to join the conference. Conference language was English.
The event took place from Monday, 25th of June 2018, until Wednesday, 27th of June 2018, in Vienna.
After the official welcome by Federal Minister Norbert HOFER and the welcome by Director DG-Home Matthias OEL, the Opening Statement by Gernot GRIMM and a Keynote by Eckhart CURTIUS were to follow. The Symposium continued with a total of 25 presentations of selected KIRAS projects, which where presented in special lectures, posters or in addition in practical demonstrations in the conference room. On Tuesday morning, more presentations of KIRAS projects followed. In the afternoon, the Side event at Technisches Museum Wien offered an interesting tour and ended with a Get-Together at the museum.
On Wednesday the „Workshop on the Future of ESRP“ (closed meeting for AS/MS PC-delegations and EC-representatives) was held.

The Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit) wants to thank all participants and project partners of the Austro-European Security Research Innovation Days 2018.
