In order to make even improved use of the forward-looking KIRAS framework and to further develop it based on research, an Austrian Center for Comprehensive Security Research will be developed

In order to make even improved use of the forward-looking KIRAS framework and to further develop it based on research, an Austrian Center for Comprehensive Security Research will be developed. This Center will focus on sound interdisciplinary development of security research themes, based on actively conducted own research, feasibility checks and implementation strategies, contributing to knowledge related to focussing and enhancing KIRAS. The Center will essentially support und enhance research in the KIRAS programme lines based on own studies and study-like activities, for which financing is requested in this proposal. The Center’s development itself will be embedded into a thorough methodological process, reflecting the whole spectrum of security research. It will describe interfaces for integration of social science and humanities, thus supporting the KIRAS programme as a whole.
